My Little Boy…

Written on Friday, August 15th, 2008 @ 5:46 pm

Well, we had an odd week. Simon had a great day on Monday, an okay day on Tuesday and kind of bad days on Wednesday, Thursday, & Friday. Last week, I made an appointment for today with an ADHD specialist for today. Just spending about 30 minutes with Simon, she said she’d like to stick on some medication for his hyperactivity. Hopefully this will help to slow him down a bit. Mainly what he’s getting in trouble for at school isn’t destructive behavior, but more disruptive behavior. Just please keep us in your prayers that this works.

As you can see, I updated my look with an “I Love My Hubby” theme. For those of you who can’t see it, you’ve been playing with my theme switcher… :D On the left menu, click “Love My Hubby” in the theme switcher. I sure do miss him, but hopefully we’ll be able to go see him next weekend.

Emily is doing good in school… There’s been a little bit of a battle of wills between her and one of her teachers. Just the typical kindergarten stuff of seeing what she can get away with.

I updated my scrapbook blog with a product find. This thing is great! Click Here. Hopefully I’ll be scrapbooking more here soon. I plan to tonight & some this weekend.

Love ya!

It’s been one of those weekends…

On Friday, Simon had a bad day which included lying to his new teacher and telling me that he gave me a note on Thursday, so as you can tell, he had a bad day on Thursday too. :( So, Friday afternoon, he knew the result of a bad day was to lose all his toys and we couldn’t go bowling on Saturday. He was very upset. So hopefully he’ll remember after he has 2 good days and gets his toys back, just how horrible it felt to have no toys all weekend. But, on Monday, we’re supposed to go start the chain of getting him tested for things like ADD, ADHD, and even autism. Please pray for us with that.

Emily had a yellow day (red=bad, yellow=okay, green=good). Seems when storytime came around, she was under a table instead of on the rug. She was still listening to the story, but just in a different location. When the teacher told her she needed to sit on the rug, Emily pitched a temper tantrum (you know, the evils of kindergarten). So, I was called and I told them they just needed to stick a chair away from the rest of the class, but where she could see them and be ignored. She would then calm down once she realized she wasn’t getting any attention. They said it lasted a whole 5 minutes. So, I also told them how to manipulate Emily into doing things.

Well, I think I need to do some scrapbooking. I have 3 file holders filled with kits to scrapbook with. Some of them, I’m sure if I go through my stash that I could get rid of, but most are ones I really want to use. Let me ask you guys… What do you do with the left overs from the kits???

HUGS!
